Truck and Transfer Explained
A single tractor pulling both a dump body and a transfer trailer — how it works, and where it fits.
A truck-and-transfer is a tractor pulling both a dump body and a pull-behind trailer. The driver dumps the first load, then hydraulically transfers the second load into the first body.
Where it fits
- Any large single-material load (30 – 40 tons).
- Bulk aggregate on driveway builds.
- Contractors staging a full project's material in a single delivery.
